Have you had a positive experience after port placement? (Please, only share good experiences). Thank you friends!💗

It's wonderful that you're seeking out positive stories about port placement - hearing from others who've had good experiences can be really reassuring as you prepare for this procedure. Many community members have shared helpful insights about their port experiences, and hopefully you'll get some encouraging responses that help put your mind at ease about what to expect.

My port was placed at the same time I had a lumpectomy. Never had a problem with it no pain never backed up on me. It has been very easy.

That’s the best way to get a port, when you’re already sedated for your surgery, very smart, thank you for sharing, Christine! I just had my port placed this morning. Everything went smoothly, I still am not hurting, but am taking acetaminophen to hopefully avoid any extreme pain. Keep fighting, sister!💕💕💕

Yes had no issues at all. Had my 1st chemo about a week after the port placement. Make sure they always flush it before and after treatment

I had no issues . I had it put in a few days before chemo started and it’s painless I had it in for 14 months and it was removed in the office and I didn’t feel a thing

I retired registered Nurse of 42 years. I have triple positive Breast Cancer I had placement in December on a Friday and had chemotherapy start on Monday. I’ve done well and by the end of December I hope to get my poured out. Just make sure everybody’s meticulous when they access your port.
