How do I talk to my doctor about stopping treatment?

I've decided to stop treatment. I'm going to talk to my doctor tomorrow. Since May 28th, I stopped Truqap, spent 10 days in the hospital recovering from side effects. Then, I was home for 8 days. Then, back in the hospital for COVID and orthostatic BP for another 15 days. Last week I restarted Truqap (4 days on and 3 days off) on Wed the diarrhea started and it hasn't stopped yet. I've taken Imodium and a prescription med. This is not a QOL. I've been on this journey for 10 years 8 months. I believe that Jesus is calling me home.

Talking to your doctor about treatment decisions can feel overwhelming, but being honest about how you're feeling and what you're experiencing is so important. Many patients find it helpful to write down their main concerns beforehand and to ask about palliative care options that focus on comfort and quality of life. The community here understands the weight of these conversations and the courage it takes to advocate for what feels right for you.

Ou Virginia. I am so sorry about what you are going through. I hate z Truqaq too. Please keep the Faith. Praying for an alternative medicine for you with no side effects. You helped me so much since my diagnosis in 2024. You have been an inspiration. Keep us posted🙏💕
