Can multiple myeloma cause widespread body pain?

Just diagnosed with MM with a light chain and M spike. My kidneys and liver are not performing well and apparently haven't for a few years (news to me). Ive been rushed into an Oncologist once they got the results back Thursday. Ive been in pain from head to toe for about 7 months. But, I had Brain surgery a little less than a year ago for a subependymoma brain tumor and Ive had several back surgeries, I thought all of it was due to the surgeries. I feel like a fool. But, I was caring for my fiancee the last several years who was very sick and passed away May 13th, 2026 at the age of 49. It took everything I had to take care of her. I made her a promise that I would live longer than her and I'm a man of my word. Ive placed all my faith in my lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My question is was all this pain Ive had the last 7+ months due to the MM? I really appreciate any enlightenment as Im new to all of this.

Multiple myeloma can indeed cause widespread bone pain and discomfort throughout the body, as the cancer affects bone marrow and can lead to bone damage and other complications. Given everything that has been happening with previous surgeries and caregiving responsibilities, it's completely understandable that the pain might have been attributed to those factors rather than an underlying condition that hadn't been diagnosed yet. The medical team will be able to help clarify how the multiple myeloma may be contributing to symptoms and work on a treatment plan to address both the cancer and pain management.
