Hi. I’m stage 2 because the tumor is touching a main artery. It’s 1.6cm and borderline resectable. Started chemo 2 weeks ago w folfirinox- have 2nd treatment on Monday. 4-6 months then surgery. Very scary. Anyone else here w early stage? I also have no spread anywhere. I Thank God every day. I’m 61.

Hi, I was stage 1B, and six rounds of chemotherapy, I had the tumor removed along with most of my pancreas and my spleen. Just keep looking forward it is hard to fathom cancer but I have learned we are stronger than we think. Wishing you much success with treatment.

Many patients with borderline resectable pancreatic cancer can achieve positive outcomes, especially when caught at an early stage like yours. The treatment approach you're following - chemotherapy followed by surgery - is a standard care plan that many patients have navigated successfully. It's completely understandable to feel scared about this journey, and connecting with others who have faced similar diagnoses can provide valuable support and encouragement during treatment.

Hi my husband has a 2x3cm on the head of the pancreas wrapped around an artery. Dr said if it wasn’t wrapped around an artery it would have been stage 1 but since it’s inoperable it’s stage 3. We’re doing everything we can to stay positive and optimistic. We are determined to fight and do our part to win this battle. We’re also looking at chemo for a few months. Something new that was just approved in February for pancreatic cancer “Optune Pax” was approved for my husband. It’s a device that he wears for 12 hours a day every day. It sends electrical pulses to stop cancer cells from dividing and kills some cancer cells without harming the good cells. We are hoping it will help since he has the Kras mutation. He just had his second round of chemo. 🤞🤞🤞

Hi Kim, There’s a lot of help and hope for you with Stage 2 and even stage 4 for anyone! Please do your own research to find out what foods to eat changing your diet helps the process a lot faster, like eliminating the sweets and incorporating some berries, pomegranate, broccoli sprouts, Purple potato, green tea( Matcha) is the best) black beans, and some walnuts. Of course are known to be the super foods or any kind of cancer, but you can also cancel your doctor before taking any of this. I just know that they have helped me a lot. I also have cut down on taking the carbs such as less rice and less bread. I hope this helps. Keeping everyone with this disease in my prayers. My best advice is to do your own research online! Good luck and stay positive :)
