I’m going to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. I have small cell lung cancer diagnosed AUG ‘25. I don’t know what stage. The nodule looked pretty big to me. I had pet scan. Was told the rest of my body was clear. Had bronchoscopy and lymph nodes are clear. Having another cat scan Sept 11 and a MRI on my brain which will be scheduled on 9/1. I’m 85, but life is still precious.

Moffitt Cancer Center is well-regarded for its comprehensive cancer care and has specialists experienced in treating small cell lung cancer. The thorough approach with multiple scans and tests helps the medical team create the most appropriate treatment plan based on your specific situation. Many patients find it helpful to prepare a list of questions for their appointments and consider bringing a trusted person along for support during consultations.

On the 11th they did what I think is called mapping and made the mold around me that I will lay in for radiation treatments. 9/22 will be my MRI for brain. I’m hopeful, but still holding my breath! Thanks for asking 😊

Doesn't sound like stage IV. Usually Stage IV involves metastasis to other areas. That is my understanding. Hopefully yours is early stage and can be treated easily. I wish you the best. I have Extensive Stage SCLC. It keeps coming back. This is round two.

Drew I was diagnosed with stage two SCLC in November 25. I believe you’re right about the stages and how they are numbered? I haven’t read anything positive yet on the type of cancer we both have? I think it all comes down to time? How much time can we squeeze out of this? What research I’ve done it WILL come back, the Dr told me that! He said it’s very rare and he hasn’t seen anyone in his practice that it didn’t come back? It’s sometimes for some lucky people won’t come back for several years but others not so lucky comes back somewhere else and usually at several places at once? I told him I wanted honest answers? I wish now I hadn’t? They say ignorance is bliss and in this case for me anyway! I wish I had just remained ignorant? I believe strongly in the Lord and I believe only he knows how and when he’s ready for us! I will pray for you! ❤️🙏
