What's it like living with bladder cancer treatment options?

I have stage II bladder cancer, and I'm learning about three treatment paths: bladder removal surgery (cystectomy), radiation therapy, and bladder-preserving therapy. Bladder removal is often paired with drug treatment before or after. Bladder preservation combines a tumor removal procedure, radiation, and chemotherapy over about six to seven weeks, so a person may keep their bladder. I'd love to hear from others who have faced a similar choice. - If you've had one of these treatments, what was the experience like for you day to day? - What do you wish you had known before you started? Thank you for sharing anything that comes to mind.

Facing bladder cancer treatment options can feel overwhelming, and asking others about daily life during and after treatment is a thoughtful way to prepare. Experiences differ from person to person, so hearing several perspectives from this community may help shape questions to bring to a care team, who can explain what each path could mean for your situation. Anyone who has lived through bladder cancer treatment is warmly invited to share what their days looked like and what they learned along the way.

I had a TURBT that was successfully scraping away most of the tumor but there is a little more in the muscle. Trimodality Therapy starts in a week. My plan is bladder preservation.
