Why am I burping and hiccupping during chemotherapy?

Digestive issues like burping and hiccups can be challenging side effects during treatment, and it sounds frustrating that the prescribed medication hasn't provided relief yet. Many people in cancer communities experience similar digestive symptoms, and there may be additional approaches worth discussing with your healthcare team, such as dietary modifications or alternative medications. David. I have been fighting stage 3 then 4 adenocarcinoma at the GE junction since mid February. I would suggest discussing a j tube with your oncologist, it has been a lifeline for me. I couldn’t swallow at all to start with then after FLOT chemo ( midpoint) I started eating and burping that lasted until last week and two full weeks into radiation and another regiment of chemo I’m back to not eating any solid foods. I have had the embarrassing burp going on since November of 25 and don’t know of anything to do about it. Sorry for the bad news but we just have to keep fighting this terrible disease
