Hi, I’m Teresa I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March of this year. I have completed six rounds of chemotherapy and will have surgery next week to remove my pancreas and spleen. I remain at 1B. I fell overwhelmed.

Feeling overwhelmed before major surgery is completely natural, and reaching out to this community shows real strength during such a challenging time. Many others here have walked similar paths and understand the mix of emotions that come with facing surgery after completing chemotherapy - consider sharing what specific aspects feel most overwhelming so the community can offer their most helpful insights and support.

Hi, I am feeling overwhelmed regarding my life after surgery. I will continue six more rounds of chemotherapy after surgery. I am concerned with supporting myself financially, what will that look like, will I have energy to travel and just be the best version of myself.

Why are they removing your spleen when you are at stage 1B? That stage has not spread yet. I’m at stage 2 only because it’s barely touching a blood vessel. 6 months of chemo and only going in 2nd one. Then whipple.

Hi , The tumor was close to an artery, and the chemo did not shrink it much so I had surgery last Thursday. I was not a candidate for the whipped due to location of the tumor. I am in a lot of pain currently. I wish you well in your treatment.
